About the Artist
Wilson Huang, alias, Senyuen (字 森元), was born in 1975 in Manila. Along with his twin brother, he started learning Chinese paintings from Master Li (李文漢教授) in the summer of 1985.
He is currently based in Manila working as an operations manager in Sykes Asia, Inc. He is an Industrial Engineering graduate from the University of Santo Tomas (in Manila, Philippines) and has just earned his MBA degree (graduated Cum Laude, March 30, 2007) also from the same university.
Lectures and Exhibitions
February 1996 - Wilson and his twin brother, Woody gave lectures and demonstrations on the art of Chinese brush painting to university students, organized by Filipino-Chinese student organizations of De La Salle University and University of Santo Tomas (both in Manila).
February 1992 – Chinese New Year Grand Opening of Pizza Hut, SM Megamall branch.
Honors and Awards
Earned a special citation last September 20, 2007, with his entry to an art competition commemorating Sykes Asia's 10th year anniversary (in the Philippines) with the theme "Above and Ahead!"
Having competed in the Philippine Green Pine Chinese Painting Experimental Guild Art Competition in 1989 and 1992, was twice awarded First Prize winner for his entries, 枝頭好鳥報春曉 and 悠然見南山 , respectively.
